*Pre-requisite: Current Girl Scout Small Craft Safety training or Red Cross Small Craft Safety Certication*
Please arrive 15 minutes before the training to meet with the facilitator in the main parking lot.
Participants should be dressed in comfortable clothes that are weather/environment appropriate and that can get dirty/wet.
Participants are required to wear closed-toed shoes. You will be getting in the water.
Participants are required/should bring a bathing suit, towel, sunscreen, water shoes (optional), and sunscreen. Suggested to bring folding chair for classroom portion.
All participants attending this event must complete and return the required forms/waivers prior to the start of the training. Refer to the conrmation email for all required forms, to print, complete, sign and bring to the training.

PLEASE NOTE: GS Small Craft Safety, Red Cross Small Craft Safety with Open Water Canoe/Kayak/Stand-up Paddle board training does NOT qualify adults to take girls to non-GSWCF camp coastal waters or rivers. See Safety Activity Check Points for certications required by either hired or volunteer facilitators. After careful review of SAC and insurance carrier recommendations, the course content does not qualify for locations outside of the parameters/locations as outlined in the course descriptions above.
COUNCIL APPROVAL REQUIRED: All Outdoor trips outside of GSWCF camp properties, utilizing any water crafts including, but not limited to, Canoes, Kayaks Paddle Boards, and rafts, etc…will need to receive council written approval, with a minimum of 2 weeks prior notice.
